Choosing the correct hose clamp size ensures a secure, leak-free connection. Measure your hose carefully and select a clamp with appropriate range.

How to Measure
- Outside Diameter (OD): Measure across the outside of the hose - most common method
- Inside Diameter (ID): Measure the inner bore - used for rigid pipes
- Add 3-5mm: Clamp should be slightly larger than hose OD for proper grip
- Check overlap: Ensure at least 10mm overlap between hose and fitting
Clamp Types
- Worm Drive (Standard): Most common, adjustable range, good for most applications
- T-Bolt: High-pressure applications, turbo systems, stronger than worm drive
- Spring Clamps: Constant tension, expand/contract with temperature, OEM quality
- Wire Clamps: Single-use, cheap, not recommended for critical applications
Installation Tips
- Clean hose and fitting before installation - remove oil and debris
- Position clamp 5-10mm from hose end for best grip
- Tighten evenly - don't overtighten and damage hose
- Check for leaks after installation and retighten if needed
- Use two clamps for critical high-pressure applications
- Replace clamps if corroded or damaged threads
